“The main thing I’ve realised the past few years is how important movement is to my day to day life. No matter what kind of movement, whether it’s a gym session, a dog walk, a yoga class or a run. Whatever you enjoy, moving your body daily is incredible for your brain and pushing through anxious moments or just brightening your day. It’s amazing the endorphins you get and the boost of energy you feel just from a bit of movement. 

 

I think people often see exercise as a punishment which they really shouldn’t, it’s all about mindset and perspective. As soon as you find a form of exercise you enjoy, your mindset will change and you’ll start to notice the positive impacts it has on your life. 

 

Don’t get me wrong exercise of course can be tiring and no one ever feels super motivated everyday, but the minute you see movement as a positive those times you feel unmotivated to go and do it, your mind will tell you but wait, how fresh and energised will you feel afterwards? How much lighter will your day likely feel? Of course a lot of peoples drive to exercise is physical image, but the minute your motivation is the mental benefits, it will feel so much easier to become a part of your routine to move! Do it for your mental health and the physical will follow.”
