We’re proud to support Pride here at Bo+Tee and we aim to continually promote diversity and inclusion internally and externally. For Pride month 2022 we were super excited to host our very own Sports Day event in London.
Keep scrolling below for the lowdown on what went on throughout the day and how much money we managed to raise for our chosen charity…
Who is Stonewall?
This year we chose to support Stonewall charity by raising money and awareness at our Bo+Tee Sports Day event. Stonewall stands for lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer, questioning and ace (LGBTQ+) people everywhere. They imagine a world where all LGBTQ+ people are free to be themselves and can live their lives to the fullest.
Founded in London in 1989, they now work in each nation of the UK and have established partnerships across the globe. They’re part of a vibrant global movement for change made up of LGBTQ+ people, our allies, families and friends. Since day one, they’ve fought for freedom, equality and potential.
Over the last 30 years, Stonewall has helped create transformative change in the lives of LGBTQ+ people in the UK. Today, we have equal rights to love, marry and have children, and our lives, families and relationships are represented as part of the national curriculum in most of the UK.
Stonewall makes sure that the world hears and learns from LGBTQ+ communities, and their work is grounded in evidence and expertise. And they’re committed to empowering people to create change in their own communities.
What did we do?
Our Sports Day event took place at CrossFit Putney in London where 80 members of team Bo+Tee gathered to get sweaty, have fun but most importantly raise awareness for our LGBTQ+ community.
We sold branded Bo+Tee T-shirts with all proceeds going to Stonewall, as well as hosting 2 fitness classes by Hattie Grover. The first class of the day was a weighted circuits class followed by a bodyweight blitz. It’s safe to say: Hattie Grover looked sensational in the Energy full length seamless leggings and matching Evolve crop top in orange.
After completing the classes, guests could cool down with an exclusive Bo+Tee smoothie while networking and browsing the Bo+Tee pop-up shop. Everyone who completed both classes was rewarded with a certificate and limited edition medal.
During the event, attendees could enjoy music by DJ Tayla, the ultimate protein waffles by Pan-n-Ice and exclusive refuel smoothies by Sejuiced.
