Womens Ski Clothing
If you’re going skiing for the first time and need some guidance, you’re in the right place! Choosing the right women's ski clothing isn’t as complex as it seems. There are three main layers that you need in terms of ski wear, which are a base layer, a mid-layer and then a water-resistant top layer.
Your ski base layers are designed to provide that first layer of warmth, as well as to manage moisture and keep both dry and warm. This usually consists of a long-sleeve-fitted top and leggings. The next layer is the mid-layer, which is a thin jumper or fleece. If you’re in particularly cold weather, make sure to choose a thicker mid-layer. Finally, you have your water-resistant top layer. This can either be a women's ski jacket and pants (also called salopettes) or a ski suit! This is completely down to personal preference and style. You’ll also have your ski accessories, including ski gloves, socks, eyewear and headwear; however, when it comes to your main women's ski clothing, get yourself these three layers and you’re ready to hit the slopes!
The base and mid-layers of your women's ski wear can usually be washed with the rest of your clothing and gymwear; just follow the washing instructions to make sure you can wear them for years to come. With your outwear, like your women’s ski jacket and pants, as they’re water-repellent, often ski wear just needs wiping down at the end of a trip, but if you feel like they need a full refresh, check the washing instructions on each product to see if you can wash them on a regular or delicate cycle.
When you’re heading on a ski holiday, you have a lot that needs packing, so you need to be savvy! In terms of travelling, we’d definitely recommend wearing your women's ski jacket, as this will save you a lot of space and weight in your suitcase. If you’re taking your own ski boots, pack one in your hand luggage to save some extra weight too. For those of you taking a ski suit, you could put it into a vacuum bag to remove excess air and save so much space in your suitcase. Overall, ski clothing does take up a lot of room, so wear what you can for the journey and split your heavier belongings between your suitcase and hand luggage.
We understand you want to look cute at Après-ski, so we’ve designed all of our women's ski clothing to look flawless right from the slopes into the bar so you will always be picture-perfect ready! Choose one of our cute mid-layers like our chunky knit jumpers or a cropped hoodie, and then, when you get to Après, simply undo the top of your ski suit and tie the sleeves around your waist for an effortlessly stylish and comfy look. The same goes if you’re wearing one of our women's ski jackets. Feel free to take it off and tie it around your waist. You might want to keep your full ski clothing on, which is absolutely fine, but if you want to take off one of your layers, you are prepared!
